- Increased Tariffs on Imported Goods: Effective February 4, 2025, additional tariffs were imposed on goods imported from China, including a 10% tariff on all goods from China and Hong Kong SAR. This has led to increased customs processing times and potential delays in delivery .
- Suspension of De Minimis Exemption: The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has temporarily suspended the de minimis exemption for shipments valued under $800 from China, meaning all shipments are now subject to applicable duties and more rigorous customs inspections .
- Additional Tariffs on Steel and Aluminum: Starting March 12, 2025, a 25% tariff was imposed on all steel and aluminum imports, which may affect products containing these materials and lead to longer processing times .
